Fieldwork
Applications to archaeology field school and other projects are typically due in
the late winter/ early spring.. For those looking for a field experience, I have listed some websites below that you might find helpful. If you know of another useful site that I did not include, send it along!
Some of these sites have both field schools (which you take for credit), other Cultural Resource Management (CRM) employment opportunities (usually applicable after you have had a field school), and volunteer opportunities (some of which require you to pay $). If you plan to go on in archaeology, I would definitely recommend a field school.
In the next few months I will receive flyers and emails for field schools (primarily in the New England area). I will post these on the bulletin boards in Chafee, as well as to this discussion list.
